The Process
All of our items are made by hand with sustainably sourced materials. Almost all of our products are made with American materials. We have a commitment to quality, yet we are human and make mistakes. Please let us know if something isn't right.
Cut to Size
The raw wood gets cut to size for our different products
Rip on the Table Saw
The pieces then get milled down to our standard widths
Plane and Join
The wood gets planed and joined to get perfectly square faces
Glue Up
The milled pieces get assembled in specific patterns and glued up to our sizes
Belt Sand
The glued up product then goes through the belt sander to clean up the boards
Shape
Some items are shaped on the CNC machine
Route
The edges are routed into our signature bevel
Sand
Lots of sanding
Detail Sand
More sanding
Engrave
If customization is requested the item gets laser engraved
Oil Bath
The item is soaked in a food grade mineral oil
Wax and Buff
The item then gets a thick layer of beeswax and a buff during final quality checks
Packaging
Then the item is packed with care and prepared to ship
Clean Up
Finally the shop is cleaned and machines and tools are checked and repaired
